1. Who is responsible
This site is run by DJ Mishoo, a DJ and event services business based in Calgary, Alberta. If you want to ask anything about your personal information, contact me at Email coming soon.
2. What is collected
Only what you type into a form. There are three forms on this site.
Booking enquiry
- Your name and email address
- Event date, event type, venue or area, and guest count
- The package you are interested in
- Anything else you write in the message box
Contact form
- Your name, email address, subject and message
Review form
- Your name and email address
- Which event you are reviewing, a star rating, and your written review
- Whether you consent to the review being published
There is no account to create, and no reason to send payment card details, a home address, or a date of birth through this site. Please do not include them.
3. Why it is collected
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote
- To arrange, confirm and deliver a booking
- To publish a review, but only where you have ticked the consent box
- To keep records of bookings for tax and accounting purposes
Your details are not used for marketing, are not added to a mailing list, and are never sold or rented to anyone.
4. The legal basis
The basis is your consent, given by choosing to send a form, together with the need to perform a contract once you make a booking. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking me to delete your details, although records connected to a completed booking may need to be kept for the accounting period described below.
5. Who it is shared with
Your information is shared only with the services needed to run the booking.
- The form provider. Form submissions are delivered through a third party form service, or, where that is not configured, by opening your own email application so the message comes directly from you.
- No payment processor. Deposits are paid by Interac e-Transfer, which you send from your own online banking to my email address. No card details are ever entered on this site, this site never handles or stores payment information, and no payment company receives anything about you from me. What I see is what your bank shows me: the amount, and the name and message you send with it.
- My email provider. Enquiries arrive in an ordinary email inbox.
Some of these providers operate outside Canada, which means your information may be stored or processed in another country and be subject to the laws there.
6. Other services this site loads
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. This means your browser makes a request to Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as a result. No cookie is set by that request.
Beyond fonts, this site loads nothing from anywhere else. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no social media tracker, no chat widget, and no embedded video or map.
7. Cookies
This site sets no cookies and there is nothing to consent to or opt out of. If you follow a link to Instagram or TikTok, those sites set their own cookies under their own policies. There is no payment page to be sent to.
8. Reviews you submit
Nothing you submit appears on this site automatically. Reviews arrive with me first and are added to the site by hand, only where you have consented. When published, a review shows your first name and the event type. Your email address is never published.
Ask at any time and your review will be taken down.
9. How long it is kept
- Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within about 12 months.
- Records of completed bookings are kept for six years, to meet Canadian tax and accounting requirements.
- Published reviews are kept until you ask for removal.
10. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act, you can:
- Ask what personal information about you is held
- Ask for a copy of it
- Ask for anything inaccurate to be corrected
- Ask for it to be deleted, subject to the retention periods above
- Withdraw your consent to any further use of it
Email me and I will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
11. Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and enquiries are kept in a password protected email account. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information through a web form.
12. Children
This site is aimed at people booking event services and is not directed at children. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 16.
13. Changes to this policy
If this site starts using analytics or any other new service, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed before that happens.
